Does MultiPub include a General Ledger?
MultiPub allows the user to define General Ledger accounts by Product Code for Cash Receipts, A/R, and Earned and Deferred Income accounts, for all products managed in MultiPub. It also includes accounts for Sales Tax, Postage, Miscellaneous Charges and Bad Debt.
What options do I have for integrating MultiPub with my accounting system?
Because MultiPub makes journal entries into it's own GL, it's easy to integrate with your company-wide accounting system. MultiPub allows you to define how the MultiPub accounts should integrate with your Accounting System. You may then use our electronic interface option to export the data from MultiPub for interfacing.
Does MultiPub use line-item accounting?
Absolutely! Every transaction entered in MultiPub includes the complete financial details, including the adjustments to earned and deferred revenue, cash and accounts receivable, and all other accounts such as tax, postage, bad debt, etc. All GL entries are traced back to the specific line item on the specific order to provide the level of accuracy and tracking needed.
Are products and subscriptions both included in the accounting reports?
Yes, products and subscriptions are completely integrated throughout MultiPub so they are included on invoices and all reports.
Is MultiPub PCI-Compliant?
Yes, through our integration with Paypal, MultiPub stores no credit card data in the database. This ensures PCI compliance.
Can MultiPub help me calculate and collect Sales Tax?
Yes, MultiPub offers a Sales Tax module, which includes a subscription to a sales tax rate update service. You may specify which products or customers are tax exempt and in which states certain products are exempt. The tax calculations and reports break out the sales tax down to the state, county, city or local level, as required.
How easy is it to balance month-end?
MultiPub provides balancing reports which balance each product to the detailed order level for the selected period. Of course our goal is that you will never be out of balance; however, if you are, we can quickly and easily tell you which subscriber and which order are out of balance.
